Great book for those starting out the learn Portuguese. The text is relatively easy to read for an intermediate level student and the story is very interesting. Lot's of magical thinking built-in, but you would have to expect that with a title like O Alquimista.

His quest will lead him to riches far different-and far more satisfying-than he ever imagined.
