An Accidental Goddess book. and I loved it! What a refreshing change after reading several disappointing novels in a row. The heroine is smart, savvy and often funny and the hero was admirable.

The prickling against Mack’s skin lessened. The pain coursing through his body ebbed. He knew what that meant too. An impossible goddess had just stopped the Grel Te’lard sorcerer. Blass backed up, stumbling over Rigo’s prostrate form. Lady Kiasidira’s dead. He spat out the words. Gillie took a step toward him. Guess again, Grel Te’lard.

This is Sci-Fi with a twist and a wonderful storyline.

While Raheiran Special Forces Captain Gillaine Davre is fighting a Fav'lhir ship helping the Khalaran Fleet her ship is hit and she awakes to find that she is 342 years in the future and is now worshipped as a goddess, holy icon the Lady Kiasidira. Gillaine isn't having any of that and she's also on a space station with Admiral Mack Makarian who suspects that she is actually a smuggler. Along with all of that her intelligent ship Simon is damaged and will require extensive repairs and will delay any attempt to leave the station.

This is a really interesting story; high on adventure and plot; low on sex - its there, just not every other page. I really enjoyed this story!

Well written, with a strong story line, The Accidental Goddess is a fun and intriguing adventure. I found the characters to be interesting and personable. I think I would enjoy spending time with Gillie and Mack. Some of the secondary characters are well fleshed out, while others are merely sketched in. I'm hoping that Sinclair will expand this universe with some sequels!

There were some plot points that really needed to be addressed, particularly the fact that Gillie's people felt Mack's people needed a military advisor, yet when that advisor disappeared, she was never replaced in 300 YEARS??? What's up with that? Kind of a major hole in the story, but to be honest, the book reads so well that I found it easy to suspend my disbelief and enjoy the story.

On the whole, this was a delightful book and I'm very glad I bought it. I am now going to look into Linnea Sinclair and see what else she has written. I hope you enjoy An Accidental Goddess as much as I did.

The premise of this story has a unique story-line in which the heroine finds herself in the future where she's been immortalized as a goddess to be worshipped. She's a mage and finds the enitre situation ridiculous and is mostly just concerned with getting her ship repaired so she can get back out into space. That is, until she meets the space station Commander and the sparks start to fly.

I found this story to be funny, entertaining, sexy and captivating. Will read again!

I was drawn to Linnea Sinclair when I read her books "Command Performance", "Games of Command" and "Hope's Folly", all exciting books with well-drawn heroes and heroines and interesting romance plots in a scifi background. So, I did NOT read "Accidental Goddess" until many years later. I'm not going to go into the summary since that's covered in detail by other reviewers, the publisher, and on the web.

You can tell that the story is a bit passe with the story being about "magic", "sorcerers", and "witches" from a more advanced society. However, if you read it now and just ACCEPT magic, I think you will be impressed. But first let me say that I can't believe after all the clues left in the book that the hero is just so BLINDED as an Admiral that he can never figure out that the heroine is his homeworld's patron goddess, the past savior of their world, even AFTER she admits she's a FULL Raheiran - the only Raheiran seen on his homeworld was their patron goddess savior.

I have to admit the battle details should have been more well drawn out but over all, I LOVED the book. The hero and heroine are both likeable. The heroine is very humble, even while only she has the power to save the hero's less advanced world. You're always holding your breath when she runs into the hero's 2nd- in-command who always seems to be holding her too close or respectfully kissing her (since he finds out she's the goddess) WHILE the hero stumbles in and sees them OR when she does something that's "god-like" -- you wonder if the hero will reject her as a lover OR if he ever starts getting suspicious of whether she's really "just an ordinary Raheiran."

Also, having "SIMON", which is the sentient on the heroine's ship while Simon talks to her about her romance with the hero is pretty funny, especially when she tells him to "put a sock" on it." :-)

I thought the conclusion was a bit "engineered" and hard to believe in that the heroine NEEDS the hero's "concentration" in either to help her defeat his homeworld's more advanced "magical" enemies. He's not a Raheiran with full powers yet SHE NEEDS HIM in order to succed???? HUH???

In any case, it's a "keeper" book and if you love Linnea Sinclair or scifi-romance books, it's definitely a book worth reading and keeping.

This author takes you with her on a somewhat exciting, surprising, just can't stop till you read it all book. It has it all. Sci fi, time travel, romance, aliens, history everything. I don't like this book I lovevit. I literally laughed out loud several times. It's made me want to buy more books from this author. I don't know if a better compliment than that.

Linnea Sinclair wrote a really well balanced action/ romance novel. It would be a great movie. I enjoyed the character development and world building. The steady pace of the story kept you wondering what was going to happen next to the main character. I am sure that I will find myself rereading the story some time in the future.

There was just the right balance of interest between the main characters, nice dialogue and situational action that pushed the tale forward. The author avoided over the top angst that I see so often in romance novels. A little insecurity is fine but not paragraph after paragraph; she got it just right.

I thought the cover art was attractive, nice selection.
