This is a terrific book, very different from the other two written by these authors. It's full of adventure, intrigue and suspense. Addison Black is every woman's dream - secret agent, daring, efficient, strong - and a woman. She's the agent that the British send in when they want to make sure a job will be done. And she works alone. She has her hands full in this book trying to save the Drs. Tidwell, mother and daughter, from agents trying to get control of a new biological weapon. Dr. Skye Tidwell, the daughter, becomes especially important as she is rescued, twice, and becomes Addison's first partner. The fact that Addison isn't sure that any of this is a good idea just adds to the story. This is one you won't be able to put down.

START OF BACK COVER TEXT

Britan's most lethal operative is a woman, Addison Black...

Being a secret agent never looked so good.

The top selling writing team that brought us Connecting Hearts and Family Connections is at it again.

END OF BACK COVER TEXT

Imagine a tall, sleek woman with ebony hair and amazingly blue eyes (ok, imagine Xena) that also know how to handle any kind of weapon and loves to kick ass. You've just imagined Addison Black, the female equivalent (? Hmm...) of James Bond. Now imagine that same woman as she goes on a mission to rescue an intelligent yet naive young blonde woman with hypnotic green eyes (could this be Gabby?) who goes by the name of Dr. Skyler Tidwell.

It seems that an international organization of bud guys (and gals) planned to kidnap Dr. Marlene Tidwell (Skyler's mother) to obtain information on Project Gemini... a secret scientific project that was researching ways to deliver both helpful drugs and harmful poisons via viruses like the common cold. However, they accidentally nabbed Skyler instead. The British government calls out their most talented agent to save the day.

Amidst a few successes and even more challenges, Agent Black proves she is the right person for the job. In the meantime, she falls for the enigmatic Skyler and almost loses focus on her mission.

Considering its length, and the fact it's actually two stories in one cover, this book is a great value. It also leaves itself open for a sequel. Here's hoping Walker and Brown get back to work soon!
Clever Clever
I just finished reading this book. It was unecessarily too long. That and all the bad words. The characters were not endearing and I do not consider the end a happy ending though that may be left to interpretation.
