Review written by Georgia Flanagan. Thank you Ron for purchasing this book for me!!

Thank you Kim for writing this book, sharing your story, teaching your students, and leaving a legacy for the believers in our future; this will be such a powerful blueprint for them!

I am so grateful that my path in life led me to you four years ago when my transition was beginning and I had become blocked from my Angels due to stress. The information that I received from you, via my Angels, was life changing; the universe was not punishing me, it was preparing me! I have done well in the four years since we spoke but once again the stress has moved in along with the negative thoughts and my Angels provided a way for me to have your book, "The Calling", just as they did with your first book, "How to Talk With Your Angels". I read the book in two days and then read it again, this time highlighting the valuable teaching that you so freely offer.

This book has become one of my most treasured possessions: It has freed me to love who and what I am, to honor my beliefs, to be grateful for what I have and what is yet to come, to be positive and expect the best for my future, and most importantly: Set and keep my weekly talks with my Angels for my to-do lists so I can remain on track.

I anxiously await your next book, what will you write about? I know it will be another page turner, another book that I can't put down!

Thank you Kim, I am blessed to be part of such an elite and unique group: We can talk to our Angels, we can live the life that was designed for us, and we can re-unite with our soul mates!

My best to you always,
Georgia Flanagan

I've read Kim's other books 'How To Talk To Your Angels' and 'Bond With Your Baby Before Birth'. Her writing style is candid and personable and 'The Calling' has the same warmth and emotional depth as well.

If you have never read her other books (I recommend them all, just be prepared to stay up late a few nights in a row:) this one is a great place to start. I feel like we can all learn something from each other and usually I can find one or two things I can take away from the life story of even a stranger. But Kim's memoir is a bit different: She experienced harrowing, humbling things in her life but was able to get feedback and instruction (when she 'got out of her own way', as her angel John Reid would say:)
from The Other Side. Her angel shared insights with Kim to help her have faith things would get better and even temper the stressful moments with humor and love. Those same insights he shared can be used by all who read this heartfelt book.

Throughout her dysfunctional childhood, emotionally abusive first marriage and starting her life's work with nothing but hope and grit Kim often felt overwhelmed, helpless and absolutely alone. The day she 'saw' her angel John (in her living room, while she was eating Chinese take out!) she realized she wasn't alone at all. Or ever. Did her life magically get better when her angel showed up? No! Our angels are here to comfort and guide. They also help us when we ask them for help and 'get out of the way' by paying attention to the signs we're being given. We are all here to learn life lessons after all. As Kim's angel said to her 'earth is the hardest bootcamp after all'. And how!

What this book made me realize is that yes, even if we are not feeling like we have any support, or things are miserably off course in our lives, we not only aren't alone, but we have constant, loving guidance from our angels. Oh, and regarding that 'Woe is me my life is off track' sentiment; sometimes when you hit numerous 'road blocks' on the path to something you really want it's really a way of saying you aren't supposed to be on that path at all.
John shared this insight with Kim when she was tirelessly searching for a new home and kept hitting every snag possible. Finally..she let go of the need to control, listened to her instincts and things opened up for her.

I really appreciated her sharing such personal information and I think it makes this book so relatable and genuine. There are no generalizations or sweeping new age 'woo woo' statements here. The personal anecdotes all have underlying lessons we can use for our own lives.

Most of us can't 'see' our angels like a professional channel can, true. But those angels are still there, waiting for us to begin the dialogue. They never leave us even when we refuse all instincts and hunches we *think* are really our own. Kim's book was not just a memoir but a comforting reassurance to know none of us ever have to feel stuck, unloved or hopeless. The personal stories interweaved with practical life lessons resonated so much with me.

Oh, and I have no idea who my angel is but I have to say John Reid (Kim's) is pretty neat. I loved the dialogue and relationship they have.

A good follow up to this book is the 'How To Talk To Your Angels' if you haven't read that one yet. Once you are aware of your angels existing very much engaged (as Kim's is) in your life you will find yourself wanting to learn the simple steps to open up and listen for their input. Happy reading!

I enjoyed this book. Kim O'Neill feels and reads like a truly sincere person who has chosen to tell her story in a readable and entertaining manner. This is a good book to add to one's metaphysical library. I read it in two days and found it inspiring. I would have liked to see a warning given before the somewhat graphic and upsetting description of a multiple rape and murder she psychically witnessed as a child. I am a deeply sensitive person and felt slightly traumatized and was frightened as I went to bed that night after reading it. Most won't have this reaction as we're pretty jaded in this modern age of TV and cinema. I skipped over the next accounted witnessing of another crime later in the book given my first experience. I can't imagine what it felt like for her to have to live with the real witness of such horrors!

This is a fascinating and engaging account of how the author discovered and uses her psychic gifts. It was uplifting and enlightening! I have bought for friends and recommended as well.

I found this book highly disturbing in its content (graphic descriptions of serial murders, etc) and also highly dubious as she describes several interactions with so called "helpful" spirits. I agree with some of the comments here that Kim's experiences could be more of that involving darker forces than angels, as she seems to believe. I think this woman needs a good mental health worker and should not allow others to be led into her strange manifestations!
