In this compelling book, the author goes beyond the mere “nuts and bolts” of ghost research and explores the technology and the theories behind paranormal research. The intense, but highly readable and entertaining chapters include information that every ghost hunter must have like the theories of paranormal energy and “memory possession”, a controversial speculation that might just explain eyewitness accounts of historical hauntings. Wilson also delves into EMF meters, methods of recording the voices of the dead, cold spots and thermodynamics, dimensional hauntings, psychic testing and research, future methods of ghost research, theories on ghosts from some of the foremost authorities in the field and much more!

Do not buy this book if you are seeking any solid information about ghost hunting or the paranormal.

Mr. Wilson's intent in this book is apparently to induce the reader to buy his earlier book. Which, given the quality of this one, is not a good idea. Why? First when one is making an argument it helps to have one's facts right at least early on in the text. Meteor Crater is in Arizona, not Nevada as Mr. Wilson would have it, unless it has been moved recently, which as with ghosts is unlikely but possible. The book is replete with typos. Mr. Wilson apparently lacked both a spell checker and an editor. The discussion of the tools of the ghost hunting trade are superficial with a suggestion to buy his earlier book which, we are assured, will tell us more.

However, his description of metaphysics in chapters four and five are surprisingly coherent and illuminating, at least for the less tutored such as I. Also, his comment that ghost hunting must follow the rules of nature (science) is well taken and in more felicitous surroundings would be more appreciated.

For a true believer this is not a particularly bad purchase. For the skeptic or for someone really wanting to learn something it is a disappointment.

Full of misspelling, poor grammar, factual mistakes and is almost entirely speculation with no evidence or sources to support the claims.
