Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat, who have been covering contemporary culture and the spiritual renaissance for more than twenty-five years, believe that we can read the texts of our lives and of the world around us for sacred meaning. All we need is spiritual literacy. These remarkable readings tutor us in the art of lingering with our and experiences and seeing the world with fresh eyes. Life's meaning and the presence of Spirit are found in the shape of a child's foot, in an encounter with a wild animal, or in the process of preparing a meal.

I started reading this book and hated to leave it behind when I left the library! I look forward to going back to it every week and have talked about it so much my husband started reading it and bought us our own copy as well as one for my sister! Melannie writes about "everyday" happenings in such a relatable way and the prayers fit so simply and perfectly! I wish I could afford to buy one for all of our friends, family and anyone needing a chuckle and little pick me up, Catholic or not!!!
