Allison Leahy had a daughter kidnapped eight years ago. Now she is running for President and the Grandaughter of her opponent is kidnapped. Did Leahy have it done? Did Lincoln Howe, the grandfather, have it done? Who is the strange kidnapper and who hired him? Where does Mitch O'Brien, Leahy's ex-boyfriend fit in? You can have the answers to these and other questions by reading the book. If you like mysteries, this is a must read. There are many twist and turns put when explained they all make sense. You will find yourself wanting to read faster and faster to see what happens. You can relate to the characters and have feelings for them. Lots of action. Movement all the time, no dead pages. Truly a "Great" book.

James Grippando seems incapable of writing anything less than a terrific book. From the very beginning I was totally into this story. I did figure out less than half way through it who was behind the abduction, but this did not distract from the enjoyment. There was constant action and character development that kept me thoroughly engrossed throughout. I can highly recommend this book.

I have read 6 out of 8 books by this author and he hasn't disappointed me so far. This book has an interesting plot including two minorities like me running for President of the United States. This novel has a good suspense on who was/were behind the abduction/kidnapping and which side (party) is/are the suspect/suspects on: Leahy's or Howe's? You probably won't be able to figure out who's involved in the criminal act/acts or keep second-guessing it like I did unless you are lucky. :)

This is the final book of his that I finished reading. 1996; with a woman running for the Presidency against a black former Army General. Ahead of his time. This was a good whodunit; I was right about part of it.

I have read 20 of James Grippando's books. They are all equally riveting, terrifically written, with great insight and passion. The Abduction left me on an emotional high. Do not miss any of his books, but you will not be able to put The Abduction down. What an amazing writer, along with his wife, Tiffany, whom he gives credit in all of his books. They are an incredible team. I'm not going into any details of the story. Read it. You will not be disappointed!
I began with his first two books, however The Abduction has caused me to think about the book all day, especially when I can't read it. Its a page turner, and I may say it doesn't contain any graphic descriptions the first two contained. Excellent writer, I will read on....
