Home Lynsay Sands Bite Me If You Ca. Dry grass and dead branches crunched under Lucian Argeneau's boots as he approached the van parked in the trees at the edge of the property

Home Lynsay Sands Bite Me If You Ca. Weren't vampires supposed to be able to control their victim's minds? Of course, they were also supposed to be irresistibly attractive and suave. Unfortunately, Donny was just your average red-haired, freckle-faced guy, and Mr. ire wasn't particularly handsome. or charismatic either, for that matter. Dry grass and dead branches crunched under Lucian Argeneau's boots as he approached the van parked in the trees at the edge of the property. Two men stood by the open back doors, choosing and checking weapons in the gray predawn light.

I remember loving the Lynsay Sands vampire series. In fact, it was my introduction to vampire romance, a genre I wasn’t really aware existed. I am a fan of Lynsay Sands and an even bigger fan of her Argeneau series! This book in particular had me laughing out loud. Lucian is such a tough guy but to see his character being completely lost with how to perform simple everyday tasks was endearing.

Lucian Argeneau, rogue vampire hunter, has been alive for over two thousand years, and there's not much that can excite him anymore. Food has become tasteless, sex is ordinary, life is increasingly bland. Then Leigh drops into his life, and suddenly he finds himself craving coffee. Lynsay Sands was born in Canada and is an award-winning author of more than 30 books, which have made the Barnes & Noble and NEW YORK TIMES bestseller lists. She is best known for her Argeneau series, about a modern-day family of vampires. Библиографические данные.

Genres : Romance, Fantasy. The "New York Times" bestselling author of "A Quick Bite" and "A Bite to Remember" continues her popular vampire series starring the Argeneau family. RClever, steamy, deliciously wicked. One minute Leigh is walking home in the early hours of the morning, and the next a vampire is sinking his teeth into her neck. Turns out it was a rogue vampire marked for termination, but it does Leigh little good because the damage's already been done. She's become one of them.

Once Bitten . . .

One minute Leigh is walking home in the early hours of the morning, and the next a vampire is sinking his teeth into her neck. Turns out it was a rogue vampire marked for termination, but it does Leigh little good because the damage's already been done. She's become one of them.

Lucian Argeneau, hunter of rogue vampires, has been alive for over two thousand years, and there's very little to excite him anymore. Food has become tasteless, sex is ordinary. Then Leigh drops into his life. Suddenly he finds himself craving coffee . . . and imagining the sassy brunette atop the black satin sheets on his nice big bed. It's Lucian's job now to enlighten Leigh on the inner workings of being immortal . . . and tutoring her is igniting a fire in him that hasn't burned in centuries.

But until they stop a renegade bloodsucker from destroying the human race, passion will have to wait!

Lucian, the big bad enforcer on the council finally meets his life mate.

Leigh is a restaurant/bar owner in Kansas & one morning while walking back home she was attacked & turned by a rogue vampire. Lucian & his men had found out where the rogue was staying & were about to go into the house when the rogue pulled up in abandoned with Leigh. & that is the beginning of their mating.

This book takes you from Kansas to Canada where Lucian starts to fall for Leigh. & his nieces & nephews try to help him because he hasn't wooed anyone for centuries. This book has sex scenes, fight scenes, a dog named Julius (which if I remember correctly I think there's a story to that name) & lots of vampires some bad but most of them good.

This was a very good book & I will continue on with reading this series.

I am 93% done with this book and let me say how disappointed I am with it. For one thing, waiting until 84% into the book on my Kindle before Lucian and Leah finally have sex was irritating enough but to then have at least a really good passionate and descriptive sex scene missing was ridiculous. With Lucern and Bastien's books there was passion and multiple scenes with it, and really funny dialogue. This book has been dragging. There have been some funny scenes but for the most part the chemistry or lack there of between the two characters is disappointing. I read Vincent's story before this one and even that story had better sex, and more character development in it, and I was barely hanging on to his story as well. I was really looking forward to Lucian's story but am sadly regretting purchasing it especially for the price and with grammar mistakes. There are so many of these books and they are either a hit or miss.

I like the Argeneau series because I like when authors continue building and expanding on the worlds they have created. The think the twist Sands puts on the myth of vampires is particularly interesting about the Argeneau storyline. Having the Vampires descend from an advanced race of humans is creative. The books are quick easy reads, and the characters are interesting enough to keep the pages turning. Although you don't have to read the books in order, I found that some of the stories are more clear if you do. Sands weaves previous storylines and characters into the new books, but not so much that if you missed a book you would be lost. There is always a twist of mystery in the books, which breaks it out of the boy-meets-girl-falls-in-love mold. This is not the best series in the paranormal romance realm, BUT it is entertaining because Sands takes a different perspective on the origin of vampires and how they live their lives.

Leigh is attacked by some rogue vampires and turned on the way home from work. She spends the bulk of the first 3 chapters out of in on drugs and IVs while turning. She winds up being cared for by Lucian a centuries old arrogant vampire and head of an extended family although rather a loner. The first 3 chapers are a little slow but not without humor as Lucian's reaction when the pilot of the company plane refuses to take Leigh unaccompanied and then what happens when Lucien finally gets to Toronto. His ridiculous costume the first time that Leigh wakes up and seems him is pretty funny as is the cell phone in the pocket incident. The humor, good characters and a couple good erotic scenes save a rather linear plot.

The author and editor are to be congratulated as there aren't the numerous editorial and consistency errors that seem to increasingly plague fiction today.

Overall a very good read recommended.

This has to be my favorite of the Argeneau thus far!!! I thought Lucerne and Kate story was my favorite and thought it could not get any funnier..... I was so wrong... Not only was I laughing til I cried I laughed until both my stomach and head hurt!!! I just finished book six and can't wait for the rest now. But still my favorite character is Marguerite. I just hope she remains a constant through out the series.

For those of you who have read other books in the Argeneau family series you'll love this one! After several millenia of grieving for his lost wife and daughters the aloof boogie man of the immortal world is about to find a new love. He's still arrogant but the sudden emotion has turned him just a hair bumbly. You see, Lucian hasn't kissed a woman since the Romans left Britain(that's nearly 1700 years!). He hasn't tried to make someone like him in far longer than that. He's a little out of his element (see hostile threats and terminating people) and those pesky neices and nephews whom he's tormented are loving it.

For those of you who are interested in this book but have not read anything else in the rest of the series, I suggest you go pick up atleast one other of these stories first. Not only will you be a little lost if you don't but these have been fantastic books you won't want to miss. Etainne & Lillianna's stories are where Lucian has popped in previousely.

Plot wise: Leigh's walking home one night minding her own business when bam, a slightly out of it employee who disapeered a few days ago has his new freind bite her of all things. They turn her, kidnapp her, and she's just escaping when this gorgeous blonde man and and his freinds burst in. That's all Leigh remembers. But when she comes to, she finds she's not in Kansas anymore! Instead she's in a swanky Toronto home being cared for by the same said blonde man, Lucian Argeneau, and being informed that she's been turned into the equivalant of a vampire. And her new tutor in all things vamp is the sulky but sexy 3,500 year old Atlantean who rescued her. It may be a little much for a girl to handle.

Other very good books in this series, in order:

A Quick Bite- Lissianna & Greg

Love Bites - Eteinne & Rachel

Single White Vampire - Lucerne & Kate

Tall, Dark & Hungry- Bastien & Terri

A Bite to Remember- Vincent & Jackie

I have always loved the lethal leader of the argeneau family, Uncle Lucian, who everyone fears but admires. This is his story and is absolutely hysterically funny.
