Artist Charles Vess adds to the atmosphere of the book with some incredible sketches, at least one per story. Each story comes with a background on the author and a nice paragraph or two by the author him/her self giving their own stories as to how their work and inspiration for this book came along. Its very interesting materiel. I'm looking forward to reading more of them myself
