Delightful!!! Ms. Cowden doesn't fool us for a minute of where we're going to end up, but she is so very thoughtful of how we're going to get there. I bought this awhile ago on paperback and it is nice to have it on my Kindle. I'm glad I read it again. I highly recommend spending time with these quirky but lovable characters. It's very comforting. I'd like to have dinner with them.

This is a perfect book for someone looking for a quick, light hearted read sprinkled with humor. Ms Cowden has a knack for writing what is in her characters heads. Great beach or cruise read.

This book was very funny, but also touching. Nina's well-meaning deception led to some hysterical encounters among the characters. My favorite [spoiler] was the ex-wife's complaints about Steve's devotion to his patients, when everyone listening believed he was a plastic surgeon, not a vet.

But what I liked best about this book is that I could not only see the romance developing, but I could see why these two people determined not to let love get the best of them, fell in love with each other.

Tami Cowden writes a clever 'romantic novel' that keeps you reading right up until the end! Her characters are well developed and people you'd like to meet in real life!! Witty and a 'fun read'!

This is not my typical genre, so I expected something sappy. But, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I wanted to turn the pages and ended up finishing it in a day. The ending was predictable- I mean, it's a romance. The couple gets together in the end, right? But how they got there was charming and well-written. I would read more by the author.
