I am pleased with this Kindle book. I was able to navigate the book and find pages again (sometimes harder to do with a Kindle book). I will bring my Kindle with me on my Alaskan cruise and be able to reread sections as needed. I don't have to lug the actual book with me!

One negative about this book is that it spent a great deal of time discussing individual cruise lines and ships. I am already booked on my cruise, so I wanted to read about the ports of call, excursions, etc., not about which cruise to take.

This book was so helpful on our cruise to Alaska. I went through it ahead of time and highlighted and stick noted all the passages that pertained to our cruise and things that sounded fun and interesting to us. I feel like this really helped us get the most out of our trip! It was also slim enough to carry around in my camelbak most of the time.

This book helped us find great things to see and do in Alaska that we might otherwise have missed ... and helped us not to waste precious time on places and activities that don't measure up. As first-time cruise passengers, we appreciated all the book did to help us prepare for the experience and enjoy it to the max.

When planning for a cruise to Alaska, we wanted to learn as much about the shore tours as possible because Cruise Shore tours in Alaska are very expensive, generally around $200 per person. This book was useless in describing the shore excursions. Save your money, don't get this book, but go to Alaska, it's beautiful!

Out of seven books that we bought for our Alaskan Cruise this was our favorite guide book. It was easy to read and very informative and detailed on each cruise ship. It helped us to pick the cruise ship and experience that we were looking for. Each Port of Call listed in the book, has a nice easy to follow map with attractions pinpointed on the map. This was the only book we took with us on our cruise.

Overall I found the book informative and more in depth than other books I saw on the market. One flaw is that the information on cruise tours is very sparse. So if that is the main thing you are looking for, you will be somewhat disappointed, as I was. Six paragraphs about Denali park. Really?
